We are looking for a delivery partner to help us launch C3 Kenya and Thailand. We are hoping that this will be the beginning of a long term partnership and a lifelong friendship for all of us.
C3 Labs – Collaboration for Complex Challenges – is initiated by UNDP, in partnership with FAO, UNEP and Wageningen University & Research, and seed funded by the Global Environment Facility Innovation Window - with the aspiration to build a broader partnership and coalition. In Kenya, we are working with the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry and KIPPRA and in Thailand we are working with OPDC.
The C3 Country Labs will bring together a diverse Fellowship of leaders and change agents working across the food–biodiversity–climate nexus. Over 12 months, the Lab will test how a structured process can:
• Strengthen trust and relationships across institutional boundaries
• Build systems leadership and collaborative capacity
• Enable learning and adaptation
• Accelerate cross-sector and cross-institutional collaborative action
• Support wider institutional change
We are seeking a strong Kenya/Thailand-based delivery partner – or partnership – with the capabilities to help co-convene, co-design, facilitate and coordinate the Lab.
This is not simply an event-delivery assignment. It requires deep contextual understanding, skilled facilitation, strong relationships across sectors, and the capacity to hold an ambitious process of collaboration, experimentation and learning.
Kindly Note-
- The Kenya RFP is open now through 13 July - see the full details here
- The Thailand RFP is open now through 24 July - see the full details here, register and get access to the Zoom link for the July 15th 13:30 (ICT/Bangkok) pre-bid clarification call
Important -
- we know it is not always easy to navigate UN procurement processes, and access to the Terms of Reference is probably the most important thing to see first: please feel welcomed to see the KENYA TOR here and the THAILAND TOR here.
- Note- several additional documents (i.e. instructions, proposal template, background notes, are available once you have logged into the registration portal that is availble through the links in the 'Kindly Note' section above).
- you can also see the high level overview slide deck about C3 Labs here as well
- In terms of timelines, we hope to have the country delivery partners on board in advance of the September inception workshops will take place (in Nairobi and Bangkok); note these are two different TORs, thus two teams will be selected and should be primarily country based.
- the two different RFPs are handled independently by the UNDP Country Office Procurement teams in Thailand and Kenya, this explains why there may be some slight variations, yet overall there are similar scopes of work and budgets.
- offers must be submitted directly in the UNDP "NextGenERP" supplier portal following this link: http://supplier.quantum.partneragencies.org using the profile you may have in the portal.
- If you have never registered before, you can register a profile using the registration link shared via the procurement notice and following the instructions in guides available in UNDP website: https://www.undp.org/procurement/business/resources-for-bidders.
- Do not create a new profile if you already have one. Use the forgotten password feature in case you do not remember the password or the username from previous registration.
We are a multi-partner collective led by UNDP (Global Land, Forest and Food Systems Team of the UNDP Planet Hub), FAO, UNEP and Wageningen University & Research. Seed funding is provided by the Global Environment Facility. This visual presentation is for learning and information purposes only.
